About Me
The Heart Behind the Rhythm
I am Vicky—a homemaker, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, but most importantly, a child and servant of God.
For over two decades, I navigated life from a wheelchair and a medical model that focused on "management" rather than restoration. But my story didn't begin there, and it certainly doesn't end there.
Before the 21-year interruption, I lived a life in full stride. From my roots as a "rebel" spirit in Missouri to the years I spent as a young mother and veteran, I have always been a woman of motion. I spent those years building a home, raising four children, and cherishing the beautiful, high-speed chaos of family life.
In 2003, a "curve in the road" changed everything. A spinal cord injury led to decades of surgeries, feeding tubes, and a life lived from a chair. Many doctors told me my condition was permanent. I would just think to myself — and sometimes say it out loud — "You don't know my Big God." I knew the Lord would carry me through anything, whether walking or wheeling, and would allow me to find joy in the midst of the struggles.
In 2021, something shifted. I realized that to truly heal, I had to stop being a "patient" and start being a "steward." I returned to the Creator’s design for the body and the home. Through biblical nutrition, heritage grains, and functional movement, the "permanent" labels began to fall away.
